「流れ」

情報は時間とともに動き、膨大なデータを運ぶ「流れ」を形成します。物質は空間に蓄積され、物理的な存在の「量」を構成します。ニューメディアアーティストの郭睿文と共同制作したインタラクティブ・インスタレーション「流れと量」は、CRTモニターを媒体とし、5×4のアレイレイアウトを用いてデジタル文明の発展における具体的な現象を表現しています。吊り下げられ、積み重ねられた20台のレトロなモニターは、実体経済時代の縮図を描き出しています。ぎっしりと詰め込まれた大型コンピューターは、1990年代を象徴する強烈な存在感を放ちます。溢れんばかりの棚、原始的な買い物のパターン、そして定量化された消費から得られる満足感。ガラスの床に絡み合うデータケーブルは、時代の波の中で新しいものが湧き上がる勢いと、抑えきれない大胆な成長を象徴しています。コンピュータ画面上で、WindowsオペレーティングシステムのGUI要素は、初期インターネットの仮想世界を再現します。民生用コンピュータの普及に伴い、未来の形態と効率性は大きく変貌を遂げようとしています。機械式マウスを操作することで、視聴者はGUI要素の移動軌跡にリアルタイムで介入し、広大な座標ネットワークにおける自身の位置を再確立することができます。人間とコンピュータのインタラクションの度に、物理的な「量」と仮想的な「流れ」が一種の「バランス」を生み出し、速度と軌跡の変化が人々を超時間・超空間的な磁場効果へと誘います。

"flow"

Information, moving with time, forms a "flow" carrying massive amounts of data; matter, accumulating in space, constructs a "quantity" of physical existence. The interactive installation "Flow and Quantity," created with new media artist Guo Ruiwen, uses CRT monitors as its medium, employing a 5 x 4 array layout to depict specific phenomena of the digital civilization's development. Twenty suspended, stacked retro monitors depict a microcosm of the era of the physical economy. The tightly packed, large computers exude a strong presence, symbolizing the 1990s: overflowing shelves, primitive shopping patterns, and the satisfaction derived from quantified consumption. Data cables tangled within the glass floor symbolize the surging momentum of new things in the tide of the times, and their unbridled, fearless growth. On the computer screens, the GUI elements of the Windows operating system load the virtual world of the early internet: with the popularization of civilian computers, the forms and efficiency of the future are about to be reshaped. By manipulating a mechanical mouse, viewers can intervene in the movement trajectory of GUI elements in real time, re-establishing their location within a vast network of coordinates. With each human-computer interaction, the physical "quantity" and the virtual "flow" create a kind of "counterbalance," and the transformation of speed and path draws people into a trans-temporal and trans-spatial magnetic field effect.

信息在时间的移动下，形成裹挟着大量数据的“流”；物质在空间的累积中，构建物理存在的“量”。和新媒体艺术家郭锐文创作的互动装置《流与量》，以CRT显示器作为传播介质，通过5 × 4的阵列布局，演绎数字文明发展过程中特定的时代现象。20个悬空堆叠的复古显示器，描绘了实体经济时期的缩影。体积硕大的计算机紧密排列，散发出强烈的存在感，象征着上世纪90年代，琳琅满目的商品货架、原始的购物模式、量化消费所带来的满足感。玻璃地面内缠绕的数据线缆，喻示着时代洪流里，新事物的涌动之势，以及无序无惧的生长活力。计算机显示屏上，Windows操作系统的GUI元素，为人们加载了互联网初期的虚拟世界：随着民用计算机的普及，有关未来的形式与效率，即将被重塑。通过操控机械鼠标，观众可以实时干预GUI元素的运动轨迹，在庞大的网络坐标中，重新确立定位。伴随着一次次人机互动，物理的“量”与虚拟的“流”，形成一种“对冲”，速度和路径的转换，将人们引入一场跨时空的磁场效应。
